Procedure for Adverse Weather Conditions

When adverse weather conditions impact on the timesheet, the following procedures will be implemented for all competitions run by the Men’s and Ladies Golf Committees.

If the delay is shorter than half an hour the competition will commence from the time the course is open for play and members will be given the option of going out as per the original timesheet adjusted for the delay in start time. So, for example players due to tee off at 8am will tee off at 8.30am.

If the delay is longer than 30 minutes the timesheet will commence from the time the course is open for play. Those players who were due to go out at the earlier times may be given the option of going out later in the day if space on the timesheet and light make this possible. These bookings will need to be made through the Caddymaster as Internet bookings cannot be made on the day of play. So, in this case for example if the course opens at 10.30am players booked for the 10.30am slot will commence play.

Alternatively those players who were due to go out at the earlier times and miss out on the timesheet due to a delayed start in excess of half an hour may put their name down on the supplementary timesheet (or the main timesheet if originally booked on the supplementary) assuming that there are spaces available.

As always, we would advise players to keep an eye on their email and text for messages from the Club on days where weather conditions are adverse. If in any doubt we would recommend checking the timesheet online or phoning the Caddymaster to check on the status of the course and clarify that play is going ahead as scheduled.
