                                     How the Handicap System Works

At the beginning of each of the three terms - Spring/Summer/Autumn - everyone plays off their official ILGU Handicap.  This applies to the first 9 Hole strokes competition of the term in which one plays.

Each player gets one shot back in every subsequent round of 9 Hole strokes.  A player may accumulate up to a maximum of 9 shots on the Monday Handicap in each term.

There is a master list of handicaps for all Monday Ladies members which is updated each week.  All the names in the Monday Ladies sign in book are marked off against the master list and each player is given one shot back. In the event that a player’s ILGU handicap has changed since she last played a Monday Ladies competition, this is taken into account in reaching her Monday Handicap.

Note: One shot back is given, even if you do not submit your card, provided you have signed into the Monday Ladies Sign in Book
