Dress Code

Visitors are requested to be mindful of the Club's policy on dress code and house rules.

DRESS CODE
Acceptable - in Nutley Bar, Pillar Room and throughout the Clubhouse
  • Smart casual clothing including smart denims
  • Golf clothing including tailored shorts (must not be showing rigors of the course)
     
Acceptable - in Sports Bar and Terrace
  • Smart casual clothing including smart denims
  • Golf clothing
  • Tennis clothing (including collarless tennis shirts)
  • Tennis shoes
     
Not Acceptable - anywhere throughout the Clubhouse
  • Sleeveless shirts/T-shirts
  • Football/Rugby jerseys
  • Beach or Football shorts
  • Combat shorts
  • Cut, torn or ragged denims
     
Locker Rooms only
  • Headgear
  • Waterproofs
  • Stocking or bare feet
  • Flip-flops
  • Golf and other studded shoes
     
HOUSE RULES
  • Mobile Phones must be kept on silent/alert in the Clubhouse.
  • Members/Visitors should only answer/make calls in the Inner Hall, on the Terrace, in the Caddymaster lobby area or in the car park.
  • Business papers/computers are not allowed in the Nutley Bar.
    Small groups with papers/computer/smartphones may use the Sports Bar or Pillar Room. Large group meetings must use the Committee, Corbett, or Function rooms on the 1st Floor.
  • Children under 11 years are not permitted in the Nutley Bar.
  • Children may use the Sports Bar and Pillar Room when supervised by a parent, adult or coach and only up to 9p.m. and 10p.m. in Summer.
  • Junior Members may use the Nutley Bar when in the company of adults and when dressed as per the dress code.
  • Sports equipment/Sports bags are not acceptable in the Nutley/Sports Bar areas or Dining Rooms. Such items to be left in the Locker Rooms 
  • Overcoats should not be worn or brought into the Bars or Dining Rooms.
    A cloakroom is provided.

    Members are responsible for ensuring their Guests adhere to our dress code and rules.
    Our own standard of dress reflects our commitment.

    The Board will occasionally publish once-off exemptions to the above Code/Rules for the good of an event/occasion. Members are asked to co-operate with, and respect, such exemptions.
